W5 Music Video

Week 5 brings us into the holiday season. With that in mind, there is not a better time to create a video that is inspirational. This time of year (all of the holidays) brings out emotion in people. Through this video, I would like the student to capture emotions in the form of quotes, images and video clips all put to one of your favorite meaningful songs.

For this project:  Project should be a minimum of 2 minutes. Each photo clip should show between 2 to 4 seconds.  You may use a song or parts of different songs.

Week 4 Projects

Week 4 finds us actually halfway through the second quarter. The semester will be ending the Friday we leave for winter break in December.  With that in mind, midterm grades are due this Friday. I spent the weekend going over the first five assigned projects by each student. It has come to my attention that some additional time may be needed by most students to get their grade up.

The following assignments were assigned over the last three weeks and are now DUE!
To receive full credit each project needs to be completed and posted to your blog.

Week 2 Projects

Project #1  Movie Magic:  Create a video project where you disappear.

You will film yourself three different times using either the iMovie video camera or the Photobooth movie camera. You will notice a difference in the cameras if you try both.

1. Film yourself sitting in your chair using your magic word and magic motion. My word is "abracadabra" and my magic motion is snapping my fingers. You may use mine or create your own.
2. Film where you just were - an empty seat. Do not move the angle of the camera.

3. Film yourself back in your chair and say "I'm Back"

4. Edit your clips in iMovie.

5. Add a background music or sound, something constant to add to the effect.

6. Add a beginning and ending title. Call this project "MOVIE MAGIC"
7.  Render your video to iTunes, then upload to your Blog page.

Project # 2  Pixie Dust

1. Using iMovie create a new project
2. To see the pixie dust motion, open the 'Titles" that you use for writing text in iMovie.
You will be using pixie dust without any text.
3. Film yourself moving your arm from one side of the screen to the other.
4. Lay the Text track of the pixie dust on top of your video. The hard part here is lining up the two motions to make it appear as one.
5. Find a pixie dust sound and include in video.
6. Add a beginning and ending title. Call this project Pixie Dust
7. Render your video to iTunes and post to your blog page.
